On Saturday, March 25, 2023, the Mariam Society Launched as an official Canadian Charity!

The Mariam Society started out in 2019 as a small not-for-profit with a mission to empower girls living in poverty in rural India, through education. To date we have funded 283 education scholarships, and 100% of the girls we started to support 4 years ago, have stayed in school even through a global pandemic. Despite all these accomplishments, there is much more work to do. The Mariam Society announced its new goal to educate 4000 girls by 2030. And this past weekend we got started. Together with some of our very first donors, and new supporters of our mission, we committed to bring life-altering change to even more girls, as well as their communities in the coming years. Thank you to all our friends, family, and colleagues who came out to show your support, including goeasy who was named our Founding Sponsor. Jason Mullins, President & CEO of goeasy personally pledged $100,000 towards our goal! We look forward to working with many more of you as we build a future where every girl can access the abundance of our world by first having an opportunity to go to school. A new journey begins.
